Who would have thought the guy who gave us the Channel 5 News Team would go on to give us an informative, funny, and downright terrifying explanation of the 2008 financial crisis.
You would easily get lost in a jungle of ‘CDOs’ and ‘subprime loans’ if the script wasn’t so damn sharp. A fantastic balancing act that left me wanting to know more.
Bale is outstanding, but he’s just one of a frankly ridiculous cast that all add a sprinkling of magic.
I never thought I’d be recommending a film about banking. But I am. We should all understand what’s going on.
