Looper has a great cast and a thought-provoking script that kept me interested throughout. It also left me wondering what I’d do if an older SDCC came calling.
Gordon-Levitt’s nose prosthetic is distracting but his take on a young Willis is convincing, whilst Willis himself eschews his bored performances of recent years. Some decent action scenes balance out the thoughtfulness, with Johnson using some very cool shots, such as when ‘Young Joe’ falls from an apartment.
I must mention what I think is one of the best pieces of child acting I’ve ever seen. It’s worth it just for that.
