With an action filled and humorous trailer, Lockout looked like a decent way to spend ninety minutes.
Sadly it was not.
There is one positive, and that is Guy Pearce, with his impressive charm and biceps. I’m not sure how they conned him into doing this to be honest. He certainly looks the part, and I’ve no doubt his lines would sound awful in the hands of a lesser actor.
Otherwise it is thoroughly disappointing, with barely fleshed out characters, corny dialogue and some extremely cheap looking CGI. You’ll suss out the story within five minutes too.
I wouldn’t bother.
