Taut and claustrophobic, In Fear kept me engrossed with tight direction and two believable main performances.
When a new couple find themselves prey to series of strange occurrences in the Irish countryside they’re forced into a life or death situation. Watching logic tussle with fear reminded me of times I’ve been lost in the car. Pride prevents me from betraying the facade that I know exactly what to do and where to go. That empathy for the couple’s struggle drew me in further. Whilst maddening in their ambiguity, the bad guy and the ending both did enough to leave an impression.
