The funniest thing that happens in this film is Raheem Sterling. Depending on your view that’s either a brilliantly damning comment on our national football team or a pretty bad film.
With schizophrenic lurches in style (Cohen’s accent does too), camera shots that were waaaaay too frantic and some rather grotesque jokes I’m definitely leaning more to ‘pretty bad’.
However, there were some funny moments. It’s also very cool to see Mark Strong play a spy. I’m sure he’s Bond in another universe.
Grimsby never seems completely sure what it wants to be and ends ups very messy (quite literally).
