Don’t go up the stairs! Don’t split up! It’s good fun guessing who will die next and then cringing whilst they meet their demise.
Cabin in the Woods turns all that on its head. You’re still waiting for the next event but it never turns out how you expect it. I can’t say anything more for fear of spoilers. This is one film that would suffer really badly if I let anything slip.
A good looking cast, creepy looking cabin, and gore by the bucket load ticks the usual horror boxes but there’s more to it. Don’t write it off.
