Absolutely Anything Review

For this to be the final film of both Robin Williams and Terry Jones is such a shame. Absolutely Anything manages to do absolutely nothing with a talented cast and a premise that could be loaded with fun.

It’s just not very funny, limping to the ninety-minute mark with very few ideas. The budget appears miniscule, perhaps mainly used on the cast. How can this be a Python reunion and not be funny! You might think that giving an ordinary chap the ability to do whatever he wished would lead to some interesting situations. But the dilemma of being all-powerful lands far too late, and before that we’re saddled with nonsense side characters and stories that don’t add anything.

I can’t think of a reason to suggest this film other than maybe you want to see Williams’ final role. But a badly CGI’d talking dog isn’t exactly fitting. Best off left alone.
