The Fate of the Furious Review

Family. OTT action. Family. Cars. Booty. Family. Bruh. Did I mention family?

You know the drill.

Fast 8 gives us exactly what we want from the now venerable franchise. Moving out of the shadow cast by Walker’s untimely passing whilst never forgetting him, it’s perhaps the funniest entry in the series.

Personally the high point is any time Johnson and Statham share the screen. I do find his handbrake turn into anti-hero a bit too sharp, but his presence raises the film overall.

It’s all there. Bonkers set pieces, Roman being the butt of jokes, the odd ‘bruh’, and massive entertainment. The story is a bit silly, but aren’t they all by this point?

I’m smiling just thinking about it.
