Bullet Train Review

My overriding thought is that Bullet Train is great fun!

Yes, it’s too long by a good twenty minutes, and whilst the ending ties into nicely to the messages around fate that pervade the story, it also felt a bit clumsy.

But I can forgive that when the action comes in strong and stylish bursts, with some extremely charming performances. Taylor-Johnson and Henry’s twins in particular bring a great British flavour to proceedings. Lots of “bell-end” chat, which I appreciate very much. Pitt does exasperated well, while there are some fun cameos. It’s always nice to see Hiroyuki Sanada too.

Sometimes it’s worth not overthinking things. Bullet Train ticks a lot of boxes and there’s always space for fun films.
