Blackhat is the worst kind of movie. A boring one.

There’s nothing saying that a hacker can’t also be an adonis. But Chris Hemsworth is miscast here. His accent is poor and he doesn’t come across as capable. Sure, he can nonchalantly dress or undress every ten minutes with a degree of style. But this was a real struggle to get through.

In fact, discovering that the Blu-Ray itself was transparent was far more interesting than any of its contents.

Large portions of the story are painfully obvious and it drags on for too long. Only Swordfish has made hacking remotely tolerable, and that was because it was ridiculous. Here we just see horribly dry brogamming.

Watch something terrible instead. At least it will give you something to talk about.
