It makes quite a change to go into a film with only the trailer to go by.
Midnight Special looked interesting and for the first half it really was. Some great performances mixed with an intriguing mystery that I was looking forward to see unravel.
But it didn’t.
Nope, not at all. I spent the entire run-time waiting to find out what was going on and it never happened.
So despite it being a well made and acted film, I can’t recommend it. Unless of course you’re idea of a good night is to be thoroughly confused and ultimately underwhelmed.
